Tari (XTM)
16/04/2026
Tari (XTM) is a privacy-focused proof-of-work cryptocurrency that launched its mainnet on May 6, 2025. Founded by former Monero developers, Tari is unique in using four separate mining algorithms simultaneously, each receiving an equal share of block rewards.

Four-algorithm mining model
Tari splits block rewards equally across four algorithms — each gets 25% of the total emission. This prevents any single hardware class from dominating the network: a 51% attack would require controlling a majority in all four algorithms simultaneously.
- RandomX (CPU) — standalone CPU mining
- RandomX-Merge (CPU) — merge-mined with Monero, so Monero miners can earn XTM with no additional hardware load
- SHA3X (ASIC) — ASIC mining (e.g., Goldshell XT-BOX)
- C29 / Cuckaroo29 (GPU) — Cuckoo Cycle variant for GPUs
This multi-algorithm design gives the network broad hardware participation — CPUs, GPUs, and ASICs can all meaningfully contribute.
