RandomX and CPU mining

Monero uses the RandomX algorithm, designed to be efficient on general-purpose CPUs and resistant to ASICs. This makes Monero one of the few major coins where CPU mining remains competitive. When Monero ASICs were developed in the past, the community forked the algorithm to maintain CPU dominance.
