Canaan Inc. (NASDAQ: CAN) is a Chinese ASIC mining hardware manufacturer founded in 2013 in Hangzhou. Creator of the Avalon miner series and one of the largest Bitcoin ASIC producers alongside Bitmain and MicroBT.
Canaan was the first company to commercialize Bitcoin ASIC chips and the first major miner manufacturer to go public on a US stock exchange.
