Address

۱۴۰۵/۱/۲۶

A cryptocurrency address is a unique string of letters and numbers that identifies a specific wallet on a blockchain network. It works like a bank account number or an email address — anyone who knows your address can send funds to it, and you share it to receive payments.

What does a crypto address look like?

Each blockchain has its own address format. Here are some examples:

  • Bitcoin (BTC): bc1qeppvcnauqak9xn7mmekw4crr79tl9c8lnxpp2k
  • Ethereum / ETC: 0x77dce4813eC15650e57E1b999c197aad00bEc1c2
  • Kaspa (KAS): kaspa:qz0k2yn0rcqsmjxstc6hfx3xpzqkq2...
  • Monero (XMR): 48N3cTcD3... (longer, privacy-focused format)

Addresses are derived from a private key using cryptographic algorithms. The private key is secret and proves ownership. The address is public — share it freely to receive funds.

Addresses in mining

When you mine on a pool, you configure your miner or account with a wallet address. The pool tracks your earned shares and sends payouts to that address once you reach the minimum threshold.

Always double-check your address before submitting it. Blockchain transactions are irreversible — funds sent to a wrong address are lost permanently.

Address types (Bitcoin example)

Many cryptocurrencies support several address formats:

Format Prefix Notes
Legacy 1... Original format, widely supported
P2SH 3... Compatible with SegWit features
Native SegWit bc1q... Lower fees, modern standard
Taproot bc1p... Newest format, enhanced privacy

Use the format supported by your wallet and exchange.
